A boat on the Danube near Linz. Boat cruises are available not only on some lakes of the Salzkammergut, but also on the Danube anywhere between the border to Germany or Slovakia. They might be scenic, but are rather expensive and intended to provide recreational value rather than a practical mean of transport. You can book cruises in Vienna or anywhere at starting ports.
